01 · Greater depth in professional practice
PRT Intermediate Training Methods
Deeper levels of training. Deliberate attribute development.
A familiar technique can be studied at many levels. Layered Skill Development gives your team a framework for understanding what makes a skill work, recognizing the layer that needs attention, and building greater depth through intelligent practice.
Technique
Refine the mechanics, positioning and organization of familiar work.
Attributes
Develop the timing, judgment, sensitivity, coordination and control that support application.
Body State
Study how posture, tension and physical organization influence the quality of a skill.
Mind State
Bring greater attention, composure and intention to the way you train and respond.
These deeper levels give experienced team members a purposeful way to revisit their foundation. This is a growing program. New lessons, deeper training levels, attribute development and specialized studies will be added as we continue to develop the curriculum for protection teams.
Specialized studies
Focused depth for the protection professional
Courses such as Weaponized Grappling provide a specialized study of topics related to protection work. These focused programs sit alongside ongoing skill and attribute development, giving your team more than one path for continued study.

02 · Develop the human machine
PRT Physical Culture Academy
A physical culture practice that can travel with the professional.
Long shifts, travel and changing assignments make consistency a challenge. This program brings selected training from Warrior’s Path, founded by Alan Baker, into the Protection Team Academy so members can develop a deliberate personal practice around the realities of the job.
The focus is ownership of the body through movement, breath and controlled practice. It offers a way to keep studying and developing as schedules, experience and physical needs change. New content will be added as the Physical Culture Academy continues to grow for your team.
Expansion
Study the Iron Cross, expansion, tension control, posture and alignment. Build awareness and control through a practice you can adapt to your circumstances.
Tool Training
Explore Indian clubs and related traditional tools through coordination, rhythm and controlled movement. Develop a progressive practice with the equipment and space available to you.
Breath
Begin with breath awareness and the Full Cycle Breath. Study selected patterns, breathing with movement and the development of a consistent personal routine.
Adapted from Warrior’s Path, Alan Baker’s program for lifelong Physical and Mental Culture within The Capable Academy. This team option includes the PRT Expansion, Tool Training and Breath courses.
